Todd Wauldron - Your Alaska pix reminded me of the 2 times I enjoyed that ride. One day, just one day, I hope to re-read your site and say "Benn there! Done that!" I envy your stamina, both of you. I agree with Greg. In the weighing between a cheeseburger or a trek to a hilltop, the cheeseburger wins every time. And D-Rae, at 61, you look HOT! Congrats! Greg, well never mind.... - 4/1/2007

Michael Shifrin - Hi my name is Michael, I just read portions of your bike ride I sure would like to take an adventure like this. How do you take the motorcycle across into other countries? Do they request a lot of papers? How can I plan a trip sort of like yours, to Colombia and Alaska? I have a bike but your idea of buying another is good. Maybe I could buy your 1983 Honda. Please write back at your convience. My colombian Wife was so excited when I read her parts of your trip. Thanks, Michael - 2/1/2007

Michael Taylor - What a fun evening... just read the whole website adventure. I have always dreamed of doing what you acomplished... too short of funds myself. Hmmm, maybe sponsors? Anyway... thanks for the reading adventure, someday I might just make it there myself! - 2/1/2007

Larry - Ironhorse Writer - Scerri - Please accept this entry as a personal invitation to visit my site, The Ironhorse Writer. Although "Biker" in nature, my work does not reflect the mainstream, stereotypical view of what is generally perceived of those, "In the Wind." I pride myself in presenting pieces that can actually be read to the entire family. What you will find within are straight from the heart experiences from yours truly, offered in story teller fashion, so as to unfurl the road ahead, and hopefully, your imagination. Ride safe, Larry Scerri - 2/1/2007

David Valo - Just arrived at your site. I admire your courage and adventurous spirit. I am looking forward to reading about all your travels. Gotta take a break, but I'll be back soon to read more. - 12/15/2006

Bruce Mathewson - What at great story. Congratulations to both of you for that incredible journey. Both my wife and I are riders, enjoying touring throughout North America on our Honda ACE Shadow Tourer (me) and Yamaha Virago 1100 (my wife). I look forward to your (hopefully) book about this great adventure. - 11/13/2006

richard sheppard - God bless you both what a story. Super. Shep - 9/18/2006

Mike & Robin Fifer - After 26 years of my wifes dis-approval of my love of motorcycles and my longing to ride again since racing in the 1970's , I purchased a 2006 VT750DC and got her to get on and she now really enjoys it. We have sold the VT and purchased a 2004 ST1300 and intend on enjoying the occasional short rides for now. Love to see this become a movie! - 9/9/2006

Roger Wood - Thanks for the trip. I told my wife she needs to read this. - 9/8/2006

Ron Cunningham - Congratulations. What a wonderful story for both of you. This was a great read. Thank you for doing it. - 9/3/2006

Nick Ames - I enjoyed your web site very much. I have just returned from an 11,000 mile trip from Connecticut to the west coast and through Canada and back home again. It still seems like nothing though (even after the fifth time) when I see sites like yours and the adventures of others through Europe and Africa and around the world. My next trip will be through the Pyrennees and Spain and over the Alps and then I want to ride in Russia and find some relatives on my mother's side of the family. I will pass the link of your web site on to others, and I will return here myself and read about your future adventures. My hat is off to you. I find you amazing. Happy and safe travels, Nick - 8/28/2006

Paul Pittman - Haven't finished reading all the pages but am intrigued by the story and will come back to it. I have connections in Argentina and loved the descriptions of travel there. My brother has a crippling health situation and yet we ride together whenever possible - but this years trip is off due to my recent heart attack! Will ride more as soon as the Doctor will allow it. - 8/28/2006

Michael White - What a great trip it must have been! Only wish I had the nerve to undertake such a adventure! - 8/28/2006

JP Fisher - Wow! - 8/24/2006

Fred and Marty Brownbill - I too have travelled a lot by motorcycle, having ridden a fair bit around Africa, Europe, the UK, Western India and some of America where I now reside with my wife Marty. My wife is on some of the same meds and this story will be an inspiration to her to join me one day on a longer than normal trip. You lived a dream and I greatly admire you both. Have a long and happy life. - 8/23/2006

matt benefield - Dear Friends, You have inspired me to do what i have been procrastinating- i sold my last bike to put a wife and 2 boys through college, so now its time for me to roll again! thanks, matt - 8/22/2006

Charles Gordon - I enjoyed your internet story very much. Please follow up with with a joint book. Chuck - 8/16/2006

Richard Hefner DD, PhD - I have been both inspired and moved by what the two of you accomplished and I believe enjoyed after reading Greg's article in the September issue of Road Bike. At 61 I am purchasing a new motorcycle after having not ridden for over twenty years. I traded in two wheels for four on the road but never my heart; I cannot express adequately my emotions at my return to the exhilaration of riding once again. I am grateful to both Donna & Greg for what they accomplished on and off the saddle. Rare people both, may health and happiness follow you for years. - 8/14/2006

larry ofner - enjoyed your webb sight, story's and photo's. curriently riding 83 gl 650

John Page - Wow. I am a lone wolf rider too. However, I have not been able to take any trips longer than 4 days. I just had to cancel a 14 day trip out west due to family issues but that trip will take place some day when things get better. I really enjoy reading your columns and your web site. Thanks for sharing. Peace. - 8/9/2006

Malcom Campbell - You are a inspiration to others to follow their dreams and proof that it can be accomplished. It also brings new meaning to the saying Behind every Great Man is a Great Woman. - 8/7/2006

jim smith - just read the article in "roadbike". just the thing to read to take a step back and look at your own life and situation. i just turned 70 and starting to feel the pains with getting older, but then i realize that compared to donna-rae (God bless her) i have it pretty good. i'm still able to go to work every day, work on my three 65 mustangs, able to sleep pretty good, have a wonderful wife, two sons and three step-childred, ten grandkids and they all seem to still like me; and i still have my 98 vulcan which i can still ride. there you go greg frazier, i'm sure i am not the only one who's been touched by what you gave donna-rae and making guys like me look at life in a better lightl. THAT IS WHY GOD SINGLED YOU OUT and we are all the richer for it. God bless you greg, i hope i get to meet you on the other side of heaven. jim smith JSmith1936@aol.com - 8/6/2006

Tom Maguire - Just got through with your article in Roadbike Mag., Sept. 2006. What a tender, wonderful story. We all have a lot to learn from people like yourselves. I think that we already know it, but sometimes it takes someone like yourself to remind us. Thankyou! - 8/6/2006

Wendell Hinkson - I read the article in RoadBike (Sep. 2006) which led me to the web site. What a fantastic read. Having ridden in 48 states, D.C., Ontario & Quebec, I thought I was an experience motorcycle tourer. After reading this I feel like a sunny Sunday afternoon biker. Hope you both are doing well. - 8/5/2006

vernon mauk - difficult to watch when there is a tear in your eye. A wonderful story of grit satisfying desire. Vernon Mauk - 8/5/2006

Linda Pidgeon - What a wonderful story. I hated to see it end. - 8/4/2006

L.Marion Smith, Sr. - Congratulations on a life time wish and achivement. Too many of us spend too many years trying to raise families and be GOOD citizens and give up personal hopes and dreams because they are not REALLY IMPORTANT!. 50 years after I sold my last bike I got back on my own bike and started riding again. Don't ever give up. - 8/2/2006

Jim Rice - Great story and photos. The story in the September Roadbike was just an appetizer. Hope the story comes out in book and movie form. How about Steven Seagal and either Ann-Margret or Dyan Cannon in the starring roles? On a serious note, how is Donna-Rae's Parkinsons and your knees? Hope you both are well and ready for an around-the-world on trikes and ATVs. I'm also the owner of an 83 GL 650.Make ya a deal.... - 8/2/2006

Jack Brooker - Exellant read and pictures for the world curious travler. Enjoyed seeing and hearing about life on the bike that few of us will ever be able to partake in. Thank You

David Miller - Hello Donna, God bless you and your dream, and I hope you are still in good health these days. I for one am very happy that you followed your dream. I have been laughed at for years about my dreams of riding motorcycles into far off places, but I have endured and followed my heart and dream as well. I have yet to go around the world and do not know if I will ever get the chance, but I fully applaud and am in awe of your wonderful experience. You could not have picked a better guide or travel companion. That is another one of my dreams, maybe someday I can get to ride along side Dr. Greg as well. Stay true to your heart and always follow your dreams! God speed, D.E. Miller - 7/25/2006

Ed Mollard - I just completed Dr. Frazier's MOTORCYCLE TOURING where I found the link to this site. I am new to motorcylcing and am planning my first tour into Alaska (it's kind of close; I live in the Yukon, Canada). I recently visited Linda and her husband, Tom, in Plainfield N.J. while on a medical consultation trip to NYC. Linda's introducing me to your journey has encouraged me to hold onto my 1979 BMW R-65, and to plan to squeeze some more adventures out of it. - 12/9/2005

Kevin Beckett -Travelling from Britain next year to US. Travelling up Route 1. Am planning to travel from Key West to Edmundston. Has anyone done it before? - 11/10/2005

Angie Fei - What an incredible journey. I have spent just a few hours with Donna-Rae, and I know how difficult this travel must have been for her. She must have such a strong will. As an able and healthy person, I can't even imagine making the trek. And for Dr. Gregory W. Frazier, what an amazing feat for you. I understand from Donna that it was quite challenging at times. And for you to have circumnavigated the globe 4 times! AMAZING! Yet my spirit truly longs to hear about your life in the Big Horn Mountains of Montana on the Crow Indian Reservation. I'm not sure how it came to be that I got involved in this adventure. But what an amazing experience for me. Thanks you both for sharing it. - 11/4/2005

Linda Brownfield - CONGRATULATIONS, DONNA! Akira led me here. I've wondered where you have been and how you are doing. What a fabulous adventure! Thanks for making this record of it. Sharing the wanderlust, ever since our years as kids on Okinawa together, is just one of the many wonderful ways that I shall always remember our friendship. That was over FIFTY YEARS AGO, can you believe it?!! I send prayers and the best of luck to you with the Parkinson's battle. Clearly, you have what it takes! I also send kudos and deepest thanks to Greg for his generous role in helping you make your Dream come true! May our paths cross again someday, somewhere on the planet! Luck to you, Tom - 10/29/2005

Paul Noyelles - Well guys, it's been great to share this adventure with you and I am encouraged to see in the photo of Greg in bed with his little bug buddy that his hair looks darker than when I last travelled with him 15 years ago. There is hope for my grey hair!! And not a wrinkle either!! Good clean living and beer I suspect. I still dream of living that carefree Crow lifestyle but mortgages and a wife and a career mean it won't happen until I retire. All the best to the both of you. - 10/14/2005

So often we tend to take people and things for granted, and before we headed out again I wanted to say thank you Tim! Thank you so very much for all your time, patience, creativity, dedication, and most of all your friendship. This "Dream" would be mine alone, if not for your talent, and Gregory's words. Without you, my daughters would never know where to find me! Please know that you are greatly appreciated. Donna-Rae - 8/9/2005

What a wonderful experience.I hope and pray that you will be able to complete your adventure. Godspeed. Dion - 7/21/2005

Brad Benson (Donna's first cousin) bbenson722@aol.com - Dear Donna, Absolutely fantastic! Curtis Barnett - Howdy, met you guys at the Hotel in Rio Grande,TDF on your way down,I'm the one on the Dakar. Good Luck. amcwillie@yahoo.com - 3/2/2005

Herbie the Hawk - Hi Greg Wish you a nice trip to africa. I hope, we will meet us in Hägglingen again!! the swiss beer is still fresh and ready to drink! - 3/1/2005

Tom Canfield - This series has given me a lot more info on (Dr) Greg Frazier, intrepid soul and motorcyclist. Like Greg, (as I assume him to be) I crave adventure, and prefer solo journeys to group or supported rides (unlike certain actors to be unnamed). I would hope to someday accomplish a tenth of his adventures. The Globeride would seem to be more of an ultimate "four corners" than an around the globe ride, tho. Still, an awesome adventure. - 2/24/2005

Daryl Hall - I met Greg and Donna on July 16 at The Bike Shop. I had the pleasure to chat with Donna while Greg was helping the AMA team with ignition key problems. What a quality young lady! I now wish I would have asked for Donna's autograph when I purchased Gregs latest Alaska book. Big hugs to you Donna, you are special. - 2/23/2005

Lewis Goode III - I read your complete article. I once thought that I really admired Greg Frazier for being a real motorcyclist, but now I must add another to the list. Donna Rae is one tough lady. - 2/21/2005

David Webster - If you're sending reports on trip progress, I'd like to read them. - 2/21/2005

Sam Plowman - Congratulations on your magificent obsession!! What a wonderful adventure, I'm 85 years old and still riding motor cycles but I don't think I could duplicate your amazing trip! I wish you well on any trips you may make in the future.--- Sam - 2/20/2005

Bob Jones - As a long time rider (about 50 years) I really appreciated the descriptions and the humor that was injected into the stories. Did you take GPS gear with you? What sort of weapoons for protection (animals and human) were you allowed to take into each country, or do you think it was better to go without them? Did you try to learn some rudimentary foreign languages for each country before departing the US? Will you be going through China? Good luck on your future adventures. - 2/19/2005

deon burger - My wife and I have been following your journey with great interest. With the help of Greg who lent us a bike in Denver we had a marvelous trip to Vancouver and back in 2000. We hope that you will join us in Cape Town soon. - 2/19/2005

JOE WHALEN - There are a bunch of us here in Miles City, MT. following your reports and pulling for you and Greg. Enjoy every sandwich... - 2/17/2005

Monte Hart - Dear Greg & Donna Rae, Yours is an inspiring adventure and story of personal endurance in the face of great adversity, in the flesh. Greg, this is your best travel adventure yet, and I'm a long-time fan and admirer of your stories. It combines the dangers of motorcycling in difficult places with the compassion of assisting an ailing friend to realize a dream. Donna Rae, your drive, courage, determination, and resilance ... at even making such a trip ... and your great attitude despite your personal ills and hardships faced on the road, are beyond what words can adequately describe. You're my hero. Both of you are inspirational! I hope to see this in film someday soon. Best of luck with the rest of your journey, Monte Hart - 2/16/2005

Mike A - Congrats! You made it.....I just knew you would. - 2/16/2005

You will probably be getting lots of e-mails from all of your fans like myself who are enjoying your exploits vicariously. I see your guest list is getting bigger every time I check it out. I think it is amazing how you have touched all our hearts, and inspired us to fulfill our dreams. Donna you are one fantastic lady. James R. Healy - Being the Proud owner of a 83 GL 650, Which I restored in 2000, I think that the SilverWing was a Great choice for the adventure you\'ve just had. It's no fluke that they call that motor the "Bullet-Proof Engine" You've just proven that Again! Congratulations on your achievement I Know how Proud you must feel. Kudos! Dream, Plan, Achieve! The only roadblock in our path is lack of motorvation! - 2/11/2005

Alister Bell - You two are amazing! I'm 54 and am launching out on a new path and have found your story to be most inspirational. You're right, it is never too late to dream. And I'm super impressed that you chose an old, medium-sized Honda to be your workhorse - rather than the latest ultra-high-powered machine with all the most modern technology. Neato! Maybe I'll follow your footsteps in my Fiat 600 (don't hold your breath!). Good Luck,
A.W. Bell (twobells@comcast.net) - 2/11/2005

Carrie Jones - Hi Donna! I have been receiving your emails from your journey and am envious of all of the beautiful things you must be seeing and experiencing. I don't know how often, or at all, that you check the guest book, but if we don't get to talk to you before you get back in June, I wanted to tell you that you were the only person who accurately predicted the baby. The blue blanket you made the baby will work great for the soon-to-be August Richard Jones. He'll be here before you get back so you may have to take what will be a short trip from your perspective to Iowa to come and visit us! Take care! ~Carrie - 1 /18/2005

Irina Saveliev - Hi Donna. I found some time to sit down quitly and read all about your dream. As I read it patiently I thought to myself this is what life should be about, dream and adventure, one thing we will never have to regret about when our life journey is over. I am so proud of you that you took this chance when you had one. I agree with Dr. Frazier that many people think they are to busy or too old to do this. But, hey, the first thing people need to start thinking is about themselves, and start truly enjoying their only one given to them life. I just understood it. This is why I am selling my house, and starting a new beginning in my life. Thank you Donna. You are an inspiration to me, and to all. I trully admire your strong and very pleasant character, and ability to overcome difficult tasks. I thank my God for people like you, and hope we will keep in touch for many and many years to come. LOVE IRINA. - 11/22/2004
